In response to the recent discussions regarding Elizabeth Truss the prospective Tory candidate for South West Norfolk, Sue Cameron a columnist for the Financial Times stated "they did seem a little bit of an aberration....South West Norfolk seemed to be something out of the 19th century".

Another week, another derogatory joke about Norfolk on a primetime comedy show, this time Have I Got News For You? The thing is, do we care? Is it better to laugh along with all the six finger gags? Indeed, will a response see us look po-faced and lacking in humour?
