Norfolk again the butt of jokes - but do we care?
Another week, another derogatory joke about Norfolk on a primetime comedy show, this time Have I Got News For You? The thing is, do we care? Is it better to laugh along with all the six finger gags? Indeed, will a response see us look po-faced and lacking in humour? Other parts of the country are regularly stereotyped in the same way - Liverpool has to put up with jokes about thieves, Scots with being tight with their cash, and so on. I do care, but think the best way is to fight back with humour - what do you think?

A sign of confidence is being able to laugh at yourself. Cheap shots won't dent a confident world class Norfolk!

If they have to rely on age-old humour about inbreeding etc then maybe it's a sign that they are not world class comedians!? I think we should just laugh along until someone actually comes up with something new and creatively witty about the county which we can actually fight back against with humour.....we just need to wait for a comedian to take up that challenge now!

being so benign and lacking in 'personality' that no one knows you exist - rest of the country take note and Norfolk take heart!
