We've got the talent, China's got the money to pay for it

Businesses working in the creative industries sector in Norfolk could be invited to Hong Kong on a trade delegation as part of a bid to open them up to overseas business.

Richard Cox, chairman of the creative industries group in Shaping Norfolk's Future, an economic development partnership, says businesses in Norfolk and the UK need to look overseas for work as the economy in their home country contracts.

“It is the future,” he said. “We have an economy that is shrinking and is going to keep shrinking. “European economies are looking like a heart attack case. YOu have to look and see where the rich picking are to ve had.

“Chinese growth has been 10 to 11pc per year. They want our talent and they have the cash to pay for it.

“The aim is for our businesses to develop business with Chinese businesses that will lead to our businesses making in roads in to the Chinese economy.
