Normal for Norfolk

World Class Creative Industries

The Norfolk environment has always stimulated creativity and has helped the county establish itself as a major centre for the creative industries.  Norwich has traditionally been a regional hub for the media and hosts not only the BBC and Anglia Television but is also home to Archant, a major national news media group, encompassing both traditional and digital news media.

Norwich is home to EPIC, one of the most advanced high definition broadcast production facilities in Europe and internationally recognised as a centre for the development of new formats, services and digital communications technologies. The city also hosts the Aurora international film festival

Norfolk hosts one of the largest clusters of digital creation in the UK.  Companies such as Cluster Digital, Internet Geeks and Further are working for global customers, pushing the boundaries of digital communication with new and emerging technologies. The county boasts a large number of highly creative advertising and design agencies such as Brand Experience  and East Publishing and the national History of Advertising Trust is based in Norfolk. The Creative East Awards celebrates the best talent in the region and is unique in being multi disciplinary. These skills and creativity are fostered and supported by the Norwich University College of the Arts and the University of East Anglia.
